What a Gentleman!
What a Human Being!
This Man spoke quietly, gently and most importantly in a Medical Language that was easy to understand. His continuous interest in Me, as a Human Being, was very welcome at a time when one is anxious about an imminent operation. He chatted myself and my Husband though the procedure, including quiet "friendly jokes" along the way, which were very welcome.
Dr Uncles made me feel totally at ease and explained everything as we went along.
He also came to see me back in my room to check that Everything was OK afterwards.
Please do not leave, or retire, in case I have need of your services again in the future!!
If it were possible, I would choose you to attend me, and all my Family again.

as soon as I met David Uncles I felt reassured. I have had a couple of bad reactions to anaesthesia in the past and David quickly put my anxieties to rest by listening and giving me all the options that were available to me and my decisions were respected. both preoperative and post operative experiences were great. very professional. very kind and very understanding.

Dr Uncles spoke quietly and calmly I had said that I was nervous having had a bad experience of general anaesthetic many years ago He explained the alternative of a spinal injection but left the decision entirely up to me He gave me fullest details of exactly what would happen immediately before going into theatre and assured me that I would have no recollection of the actual operation which proved totally correct He made a point of coming to see me in Recovery and assuring me that everything had gone well I felt he had a genuine interest in my successful recovery

I am a specialist Anaesthetist with interests in Obstetric, Ambulatory and Inpatient anaesthesia. I employ a variety of anaesthetic techniques including general or regional anaesthesia, although I often use them in combination to optimise and enhance patients' peri and post-operative experience.
I am dedicated to putting the patient first through the provision of safe and reassuring care delivered in conjunction with my colleagues and associates.
I was present at the inauguration of the Helsinki Declaration in June 2010. This enshrines the values essential to the promotion of the highest professional and safety standards expected of anaesthetists. It is my hope to match or even exceed the expectations of patients who place their trust in me.
